L.U.C. (Lukas Rostkowski) – repeatedly awarded polish creative director, producer, music composer, rapper, performer, songwriter called by press a multimedia artist of XXI century. For his innovativeness, eclecticism spirit, unconventional music and text solutions he gained respect among many journalists and as a result he got excellent reviews in the most important polish cultural magazines.
Certified lawyer who had passed the advocate applications exam and resigned for music.
Since 2002 he has recorded 16 LP albums and many soundtracks (Netflix, TVN, TVP), spectacles and video’s which combines nu jazz, trip-hop, reggae, hip-hop with the classical music, folk and electronica. Merging music with the picture is his great passion. His music was selected to Oscar winning VR project Carne Y Arena made by Alejandro Inarritu and Emmanuel Lubezki.
In 2020 he started composing music to the painted movie „The Peasants” with Oscar winners producers of the first painted movie „Loving Vincent”.
Author of multimedia historical performances – modern and artistic history lessons entitled Understanding Poland. As part of the project, 5 audiovisual performances were already created with many museums and cultural institutions. Project awarded with prestige polish cultural award Paszport Polityki.
In 2015, with Jan Feat he founded REBEL BABEL ENSEMBLE – a transcultural, international Big Band, that combines genres and languages meeting 11.000 musicians from 16 countries (Heritage od European Capital of Culture Wroclaw 2016). It meets professionals with students and amateurs fulfilling young musicians dreams and via workshops and concerts around the world. In 2018 he started a special unit – Rebel Babel Film Orchestra dedicated for scoring and film music concerts.
Rebel Babel was touring in Germany, Slovakia, Sweden, USA, Spain, Poland and Portugal cooperating with world famous institutions like UN, Universal Hip Hop Museum and New Orleans Jazz Museum.

Łukasz L.U.C. Rostkowski is an award-winning conceptual composer, art director and producer, author of 17 various LP albums, many TV productions (Top Model), film & series scoring.
He is an author of the music for the Peasants – the latest project of Oscar winning studio responsible for the world first painted feature film Loving Vincent (Oscar Nomination). The Peasants and it’s soundtrack is Polish Oscar candidate 2024.
His Sleepoholic music was chosen by the Oscar winners Emmanuel Lubezki and Alejandro Inarritu to their VR project Carne y Arena awarded an Oscar at the Academy’s 9th Annual Governor’s Awards. He’s an author of many multimedia spectacles and has worked with famous composers and animators like Oscar winners Zbigniew Rybczyński, Tomasz Bagiński.
Founder of Rebel Babel Film Orchestra – international Big Band combining styles of genres and artists from world orchestras. Within 3 years 11.000 musicians played with RBFO. The film section of this orchestra specializes in scoring films and building special ensembles containing unique instruments and sections from various regions of the world.
